County in the Community
CITC deliver in primary schools all across the Gwent region, covering various aspects of the school curriculum. From PE lessons and teacher CPD, to literacy, numeracy and PSHE, we aim to enrich pupil and teacher delivery in School Sport and the wider school environment.
We use sport as a vehicle to improve all aspects of health: from improving eating habits through simple nutritional advice to dealing with complex mental issues through our very successful "We Wear the Same Shirt" initiative.
We embrace the principle of engaging, uniting, and motivating people in order to break down barriers and to promote social inclusion. In association with our partners, we run initiatives such as Premier League Girls and Premier League Kicks.
Male or female; from tiny tots to young adults; from academy standard to beginners: we provide a platform for everyone to enjoy sport.
We cannot achieve our aims on our own and seek to establish relationships with like-minded companies and organisations.
Our main sponsor since our inception has been Melin Homes. Melin are a Housing Association which provides affordable homes for tenants in South East Wales. They are a registered social landlord and work closely with local authorities and other partners to build thriving communities.
